Charity Cricket Match
Longacre School, Sunday 8 June
Eric Clapton's XI v's The Bunburys
Me and Roger Waters
On Sunday 8 June I went to a Celebrity Cricket Match in Surrey.
The famous charity team The Bunburys were playing against an Eric Clapton Eleven.
It was a boiling hot day, everyone was in good spirits and the event was wonderfully organised.
Once inside I immediately spotted Eric Clapton sat talking to friends. I was stood a couple of metres from him. I couldn't believe it, I was so excited. I knew then this was going to be a great day!
A few minutes later I spotted a guy in the distance wearing a blue shirt and thought he looked familiar but I wasn't sure. Then as he approached I realised it was none other then Pink Floyd Legend Roger Waters. I was stunned! There were only two people around him getting autographs so I went over. I had 2 ticket stubs from when he did a gig recently at the O2 and I passed them to Roger and said 'could you sign these please'? he replied 'sure', took the tickets and my pen and really took his time signing them. Then I asked if I could have a piccie with him. He obliged and the photo is the one you can see above!
I was shaking like a mad woman by this time!!!!!
After wandering around a little while I was bumping into more and more well known faces such as Bill Wyman, Piers Morgan, Mike Rutherford and Phil Tuffnel to name but a few. There were children and adults getting autographs and photos, the celebs were happy to oblige and it was great. I bumped into Roger again in his cricket whites and got another photo of us together!!

Me peeping as Roger Waters signs!!!
Before the cricket match began the Official Photographers and Press lined up to take a team photo so I stepped in amongst them and took the following pic!!
Eric Clapton is holding the child, next to him is Bill Wyman and on the other end of that bench is Roger Waters!

When Brian had his pic taken with Piers Morgan I said 'Say Simon Cowell'. Piers laughed. I'm so bloody funny!!!!

18 May 2008
O2, London
I wI went to see Roger Waters at the O2 Arena and it was one of the best gigs I've ever seen. I was quite near the front as you can see from the photos taken. The show took my breath away.
The atmosphere in that arena when Roger took to the stage was electric. Everything about the gig was huge, the set, the screen, the lights, the band. Roger belted out some of his greatest songs which the crowd absolutely loved and joined in with every track.
The second half of the show was the whole of The Dark Side of the Moon album. The arena rocked. The Great Gig in the Sky, note perfect, Us and Them, Money and the rest of the album blasting around the arena leaving the crowd amazed at what they were witnessing.
The finale brought us Another Brick in the Wall in which the whole arena joined in and of course the brilliant Comfortably Numb which brought this amazing show to an end.
Roger Waters was lively, very energetic and note perfect. A true musical genius. I'm glad I was there to witness it!!!
