I was at Paul McCartney's 'secret' gig
Electric Ballroom, Camden, 7 June 2007,

Read the whole article.............I get a mention!!!
My wristband from the London 'secret' gig!!!!
Having sat on the grubby streets of Camden in the early hours to ensure I got my free wristband for Paul's 'secret' gig at the Electric Ballroom I spent half the show singing and half crying!!
I got right to the front of the stage, leaning on the barrier just over a metre away from Paul for this amazing intimate gig.
Having seen Paul in huge venues like Madison Square Garden , Earls Court, Stade de France, NEC etc to be a part of this small crowd was the most amazing thing ever!!
As we got into the venue each person was given a FREE Paul 'Memory Almost Full' t-shirt. No merchandise was on sale.
Having secured my place at the very front I burst into tears as Paul's microphone was just THERE right in front of me, I couldn't wait til he stepped out on stage! And when he did he brought the house down.
His set list was as follows 'Drive My Car' 'Only Mama Knows' 'Dance Tonight' 'C Moon' 'The Long And Winding Road' 'I'll Follow The Sun' 'Calico Skies' 'That Was Me' 'Blackbird' 'Here Today' 'Back In The USSR' 'Nod Your Head' 'House Of Wax' 'I've Got A Feeling' 'Matchbox' 'Get Back' 'Hey Jude' 'Let It Be' 'Lady Madonna' 'I Saw Her Standing There'
A few times throughout the show Paul smiled in my direction and at one point nodded which was totally amazing. But the best bit was at the end.
Before he left the stage people put their arms out and he leant over and touched a few of their hands. He stood back up again and I was reaching out so he bent back down again just for me and slapped my right hand. I'm actually really surprised I'm still alive to write this. I've still not slept much but what's a couple of bags under the eyes when I've been part of something so very very special.

From the Electric Ballroom gig
Look carefully, the hand with the ring on in the bottom right of this picture is MINE!!!!! Paul slapped this very hand of mine!!!!!
I was at the Paul McCartney CD signing
Virgin Megastore, London, 22 November 2006
I was lucky enough to obtain a wristband for Paul McCartneys cd signing at Virgin Megastore in Piccadilly, London.
I was preparing to start queueing in the early hours when I recieved a phone call telling me I was one of the 10 lucky winners from Paul's website competition guaranteed a wristband for this amazing event. I cried with joy and I was able to turn up at the store signing without queueing to get my cd and dvd signed.
I was instore to see Paul arrive and he gave us competition winners a huge grin and a wave stopping briefly to do this before having his picture taken by the vast number of photographers that had gathered to see him. Paul looked so happy, well and relaxed.
Getting in line knowing you are about to be face to face with this rock icon is the most amazing feeling in the world. Nothing in terms or nerves and excitement has come close in all my life and I've been living 34 years so far!!!
With my turn fast approaching I burst into tears and stood less than a metre away from my idol I somehow managed to ask Paul to dedicated the signature to me. He signed To Rachel, Paul McCartney and drew a heart in silver pen on my cd cover. Seeing me crying he held my hand, looked at me and said 'Awwwww' and he thanked me for coming. Then it was all over.
But the smile on my face still remains.
I still haven't realised my dream fully as I long for a photograph of Paul and I together then my life will be complete but this has been the best moment of my life so far. Slowly pushing seeing Paul live at Madison Square Garden last year into second place.
He is such a lovely, genuine, warm person and I'm proud to be a fan.
To the people who I've met in my life who cannot understand my love for Paul McCartney, who tell me 'He's just a human being like us, you know' I have one thing to say back to you all and that's 'No he's not'...........................
Somebody Captured It On Film!!!!
Video footage of Paul arriving at Virgin Megastore waving at Me, Anita and Annette(nice to meet you there girls). As the video starts you can see my jeans and black jacket with the 'fake fur' around the hood!!!!
You can see the back of my head at the bottom left of the video as Paul goes up the stairs!!!!!
I took this photo!!!!!!

I was at the 'Ecce Cor Meum' World Premiere
Royal Albert Hall, 3 November 2006
In attendance Sir Paul McCartney
I was at the World Premiere of Paul McCartney's new classical piece 'Ecce Cor Meum' at the Royal Albert Hall on 3 November 2006. An amazing night made all the better by the fact that Paul McCartney was sat 2 rows behind me!!! Yes, really he was!!!
Paul was with his daughters Stella and Mary and various famous friends including Dave Gilmour from Pink Floyd, Jeff Lynne and legendary Beatles producer George Martin.
The performance was breathtaking but more of that later. I just have to tell you about these special Paul moments. At the interval I got up and stood in the aisle. Paul got out of his seat and brushed past me as he walked by. Honestly, he was that close and I stroked the back of his jacket as he walked past!!!!
I was in shock. And to prove it take a look at this first photograph I took. I was shaking so much it came out pretty messed up but you can see George Martin bottom right of the 'photo and I think you can see Paul in his seat if you look carefully enough!!!
Advice. Try not to take 'photos when you have just had Paul McCartney standing right next to you!!!
Anyway after nearly fainting again having seen Paul take his seat for the second half I relaxed and watched the show but kept turning round to look at Paul which was just fantastic. 2 rows behind me!!!! I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!
At the end of the show everyone stood up and was clapping and cheering and I glanced round to look at Paul and like me he was still seated and for a split second through the crowd of people that were stood up his eyes met mine!! We really did exchange glances and I still can't sleep because of this!!!
Now take a look at the photograph I took as Paul left his seat and went up on stage. Sigh, swoon, faint and everything else!!!!
I took this photo!!!!!!
Before the show started when I was stood outside the Albert Hall watching all the media a camerman and reporter came over to me and I was interviewed for Sky News!!!!! I don't know if the piece went out on air but they asked me loads of questions about Paul including stuff about his personal life which I refused to comment on. I wish I could be interviewed every day. It was such good fun!!! And I said all the best things possible about how wonderful Paul is!!!
I will write a review of the performance when I've stopped shaking at seeing Paul so close up. So expect it in the spring of 2009!!!!

I was at the Paul McCartney Book signing
Waterstones, London, 14 December 2005
The actual book book Paul has touched and signed!!!!!!!
My wristband from the book signing
My signed book

This is Paul leaving the book signing. This was taken by Pete, a guy who I met whilst camping out for the event and we queued up together to meet Paul at the signing. A splendid time was had by all!!!
As soon as I heard about this book signing I just knew it meant a cold night shivering on the streets of London but when it comes to Macca nothing would ever stop me seeing him.
The wristbands for the signing were to be given out at 7-30am on Monday 12 December so that meant only one thing..................my mate Katie-Rae and I packed our sleeping bags and woolly clothes and at 6pm on Sunday 11 December we started queuing to obtain our wristbands first thing in the morning. And because there weren't many people in front of us when we arrived at Waterstones I knew we had guaranteed ourselves a wristband for the signing on Wednesday 14!!!! I was so happy I didn't even feel the cold!!!!
More of the story coming soon.................
I was at the Chaos and Creation Screening
HMV, Oxford Street, London, 15 September 2005
I won a competition on hmv.co.uk...........below is the conformation email I recieved
My wristband, no.150 for this event
Congratulations! You are 1 of only 300 winners who have been selected to attend the exclusive Paul McCartney screening at HMV's flagship store, 150 Oxford Street, London W1, which will take place THIS Thursday, 15 September 2005, after the store closes at 9.30pm.
You are also entitled to bring a guest with you on the day. Entry to the event will be via a numbered wristband, which will be issued to you (and your guest, if you choose to bring one *) by HMV earlier that evening. See further details below.
The as-live screening will show Paul and his band rehearsing 3 brand new tracks from his album, 'Chaos and Creation in the Backyard', as he prepares to embark on his forthcoming sell-out U.S. tour. The performance of this material has never been seen in public before, and has been specially recorded for this event. Other recently recorded material will also be screened, adding up to a package which lasts approximately 45 minutes. We would respectfully ask you to bear in mind that HMV is a music and entertainment retail store, and, as such, we regret that there is no seating in-store.
At the end of the screening, Paul via the video screen will, as a very special bonus, call out a number that will correspond to one of the wristbands which HMV will be issuing to you and all winners. This will entitle the bearer and a guest of their choosing to win a trip to New York to see Paul McCartney perform in concert at Madison Square Gardens during his tour. As mentioned there are only 300 winners plus guests if they attend so there is a big chance to win this fantastic prize.
Once you (and a guest if you have advised us you are bringing one) are confirmed to attend the screening, we will be delighted to see you at HMV 150 Oxford Street on Thursday evening.

In Pauls hand is a big flag but if you look carefully you will see he is also holding a teddy. My teddy!!!
I threw this teddy to Paul when I saw him at Earls Court in 2003. I was on the fourth row.
I chose my moment and launched the bear. Paul picked it up, looked at me and said 'Is that for me'? I nodded and gave him a thumbs up!!!! Sigh!!!
New York, October 2005
Below are two 'photo's taken at Madison Square Garden, New York
The first one is of me posing with the special limited edition Paul McCartney Lexus. This was taken on 1st October 2005 after I went into the box office to collect my tickets for the Macca concert that evening.
The second photo I found on the internet. It's of Paul stood in front of that very same car, in the very same place but was taken on 2 October 2005. How close was I to bumping into the man himself????
Right place, wrong time!!!!!!!

The above letter appeared in the Manchester Evening News in 1992 and was placed by a school friend of mine trying to get in contact with as many people as possible for a class reunion!!! She was wondering if I went on to marry Paul McCartney as from the age of about 10 I was always saying I would!!!!
Anyway having now grown up I have realised how silly my dream of marrying Paul really is and to prove a point I've listed some of the reasons why below!!!!
1. He wouldn't be impressed with my Paul McCartney collection.
2. I'd have to change the Beatle ringtone on my mobile.
3. He'd get fed up of me asking for his autograph and to have my 'photo taken with him everyday!!
4. I'd have to stop bidding for McCartney things on eBay.
5. He'd know more about The Beatles than me!
Two fab Macca videos. Paul tells a rude joke and Paul makes mashed potato!!! Brilliant!
