Welcome to my Nightmare!!!

Hello there and welcome to my website about me.

I threw this site together mainly so my friends and family can log on and see what I've been up to but, amazingly I've had many visitors to the site, people I don't even know, from various countries and to me that's quite thrilling. So I keep updating the site to keep it fresh and interesting should my vistors get so bored that one day they decide to log on again!!!

I would like to thank you all for all the messages I've recieved via this website, it's lovely to hear from you. And a big thank you to the Paul McCartney fans who enjoy looking at my Paul McCartney page and have shared your Macca stories with me. Lovely to hear from you all!!!!!

Never give up on your dreams............................

loadsa love

David Essex

I went to see David Essex in Stevenage, 15 June 2008.

I first saw David Essex when I was 16 in 1988 when I was bought a ticket for my birthday. I started liking David when I was about 13.

I have been to every tour he's done since 1988 and he tours a lot so that's quite a lot of gigs believe me.

Anyway, I was on the 2nd row this evening. As soon as the lights go down at a David Essex gig half the crowd scramble to the front. I used to do this at every David gig too but these days I prefer to stay in my seat which saves my back and legs from aching (well I am 35 you know!!).

In the front row just to my right were two, how can I put this, rather large ladies! And from start to finish they danced to every song, sang every song and did all kinds of movements to kinda illustrate the lyrics and it was bloody hilarious!!! I couldn't decide if to watch David or them, they were both as entertaining as each other. The sweat that poured off them was amazing, they could've easily filled a couple of pint pots!!!

David was great, as usual. He more than pleased the crowd with all his hits, 'Gonna Make You A Star', 'Hold Me Close', 'Lamplight', 'Silver Dream Machine' to name but a few. A splendid time was had by all.............especially the two ladies in the front row who will definitely sleep tonight!!!!!

I met Chas n Dave!!!!!!!!!

I went to see 'Chas n Dave' in Broxbourne, 12 June 2008.

I have never seen them live but have always fancied seeing them. Now I wish I'd been to see them years ago. They were absolutely brilliant.

The audience was a mix of old and young. I was so surprised to see 20 somethings singing along to every song, dancing in the aisles and just really having a brilliant time.

In the first half Chas n Dave sat down and did mainly slow songs and inbetween songs they chatted to the crowd and did a question and answer session. That was good but it was the second half that really rocked. they treated us to many of their hits, 'Ain't No Pleasing You', 'The Sideboard song', 'Wallop' and 'London Girls' to name but a few. It was fantastic.

If you get a chance to see them I hope you will. You'll have a really fun evening out. I've just got home from the gig and I can still hear it ringing in my ears...........Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit!!!!!!!!!!

If you click the logo above you will be taken to a site which is home to some great photographs taken by various people including ME!!!!!!! My photograph of Liverpool Waterfront is featured on the Homepage and again on a page dedicated to Liverpool.

I was recently contacted by email for my picture to be used. This is an extract from that very email!!!!

"Dear Rachel, I need a nice photo to illustrate the architecture of Liverpool in the forthcoming Yearbook of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation, and found a great photo of yours of the waterfront. The Institute is holding its annual conference in Liverpool in June , and your photo would be perfect for a general article on the Institute's activities with a caption referring to the conference and, of course, a credit note to you".

Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, "My son, the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his Grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
